بی وقفه گریستن / زیر گریه زدن
Definition: to be unable to stop yourself crying, especially in public
Ex: She broke down at the news.
او بخاطر آن خبر زد زیر گریه.
تمرین 1: به شدت اشک ریخت وقتی خبر را شنید.
غروب کردن
Definition: disappearing below the horizon. OPP come up.
Ex: the sun's going down.
خورشید در حال غروب کردن است.
تمرین 2 : وقتی خورشید غروب می کنه دلم میگیره.
کاهش یافتن/ پایین آمدن نرخ چیزی و متضاد آن بالا رفتن نرخ چیزی
Definition: become lower. OPP go up.
Ex: prices went down by ten per cent.
قیمت ها تا ده درصد کاهش یافتند.
تمرین3 : خداروشکر قیمت ها اون قدر بالا نرفت.
بستن / محکم کردن ( برای زیپ ،بند یی دکمه لباس)
Definition: to fasten something, or to be fastened in a particular way
Ex: I can't do this zip up
نمی تونم این زیپ رو ببندم.
تمرین 4 : دکمه های کتت رو ببند وگرنه سرما میخوری.
دستی سر و گوش جایی کشیدن/ تعمیر کردن
Definition: do something up to repair an old building or car, or to improve its appearance
Ex: they are doing the flat up.
آنها مشغول تعمیر آپارتمان هستند.
تمرین 5 : آنها کلبه قدیمی را نو نوار کردند.
سروکله کسی پیدا شدن/ رسیدن
Definition: to arrive at a place, especially in a way that is unexpected
Ex: You can’t just turn up and expect a meal.
نمی شه یه دفعه بیایی و توقع غذا داشته باشی.
تمرین 6 : کی سرو کله اینا پیدا شد؟
پیدا شدن اتفاقی چیزی که گم شده است
Definition: to be found, especially by chance, after having been lost
Ex: Eventually my watch turned up in a coat pocket.
دست آخر ساعتم توی جیب کتم پیدا شد.
تمرین 7: نگاه کن حلقه ازدواجم پیدا شده.
دست و پای کسی را بستن
Definition: tie somebody up to tie someone’s arms, legs etc so that they cannot move
Ex: The intruders tied Kurt up and left him.
افراد مزاحم، دست و پای کرت را بستند و رهاش کردند.
تمرین 8 : آنها دست و پای او را بستند.
دست کسی بند بودن / مشغول بودن
Definition: be tied up to be very busy, so that you cannot do anything else
Ex: I can’t see you tomorrow – I’ll be tied up all day
نمی تونم فردا ببینمت، تمام روز رو مشغول خواهم بود ( دستم بند خواهد بود).
تمرین 9 : او فعلا دستش بند.
از سر راه فردی کنار رفتن,مزاحم کسی نشدن، دوری کردن از کسی
Definition: If you keep out of someone's way or stay out of their way, you avoid them or do not get involved with them.
Ex: I'd keep out of his way as much as I could.
آگه من بودم مزاحمش نمیشدم.
تمرین 10: خیلی عصبانیه مزاحمش نشو. (یعنی ازش دوری کن)
